Women and youth are the waters that sustain our community. Together with its supporters, Ripples provides hand up for women and youth to help them create ripples of lasting change – for themselves, their families and their community.
Ripples Farm builds upon existing community agricultural techniques to train women to start their own eco-friendly farming businesses, helping them invest in their communities and address local environmental and economic barriers. Our program is a bottom-up solution that transforms economies to overcome growing poverty and environmental crises.
Our Adopt a Village Program allows businesses and individuals to fund programs in a village that build up the independence and personal accountability of women and youth, while promoting engagement at every level in the community. Our goal is to lift the most impoverished remote villages out of poverty to give children a prosperous home.
We partner with local and volunteer healthcare practitioners to co-develop solutions that address local health concerns, providing basic medical services and equipment to even the most remote villages. Our services provide medical care to vulnerable women and children, who otherwise would not receive it.
Our Experiential Cultural Internship gives graduate-level students the opportunity to live and work in an African village and to immerse themselves in its culture, while designing tailored solutions to local challenges. Teaching US and UK youth about African culture is vital to the cohesion of our global community.
The impact of the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19 is being felt around the world, and nonprofits are no different. During these challenging times, Ripples Foundation is monitoring the situation and responding accordingly.
